Teeth whitening is a big business these days, but for all the wrong reasons. Although it is wise to want a whiter, brighter smile, conventional procedures often provide only a temporary fix. Even worse, most common tooth whitening methods use harsh chemicals, such as hydrogen peroxide, to whiten the surface of your teeth. This is a process that also damages the integrity of your teeth and can leave years of damage.

In fact, several natural ingredients have been demonstrated using both anecdotal and scientific evidence that really matters when it comes to tooth whitening. Check them – in the worst case they will not damage your teeth, and in the best case they will give your teeth a new life!

  Natural teeth whiteners that really work

  1. Baking soda

When we first learned about people using baking soda as an alternative toothpaste and natural tooth whitener, we thought that they must have been ignorant. Baking soda is sandy and abrasive, for sure it will quickly destroy their teeth and make the gums gray.

But it turns out that as soon as the soda is mixed with saliva, it becomes a wonderfully soft paste, which over time can significantly increase the white ratio of your teeth.

My method is simple: pour baking soda into a glass jar and leave it next to the sink in the bathroom. The next time you start brushing your teeth, moisten the toothbrush a little, dip it in baking soda and carefully start brushing your front teeth. Once baking soda works a little in your saliva, you can start to apply a little more pressure – but don’t overdo it!

  1. Activated carbon

 Surely almost everyone has a decent supply of activated carbon tablets in the medicine cabinet, due to its legendary ability to remove toxins from the body and prevent a potential food poisoning catastrophe! The key to their antitoxic properties? Absorption. Upon entering the digestive system, activated carbon binds and effectively absorbs gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and heavy metals, whereby it passes through the intestines, and on the other hand, caries is prevented!

The binding ability of activated carbon can also be effectively applied to your teeth. Although it may seem a little disturbing at first (the friction of activated charcoal on your teeth turns them black), repeated applications of activated carbon powder on the surface of your teeth help remove stains and other toxins that contribute to unwanted discoloration. Try to apply activated charcoal on your teeth for 10 minutes 1 time per day, and after a week you will notice that the teeth will become several shades whiter.

3.Rinse with oil

 Oil rinsing has been used as a form of oral hygiene for millennia, and there is a good reason for this: it keeps your teeth clean!

Studies have shown that daily rinsing significantly reduces plaque and gingivitis for just ten days. In a 2008 study, participants rinsed ten minutes each morning before cleaning for two weeks, showing a sharp decrease in the total oral pathogen of streptococcus by the end of the trial. Then, in 2011, researchers showed that daily rinsing with oil for two weeks significantly reduces halitosis, halitosis.

How to use: rinsing with oil (coconut) for 10-20 minutes literally pulls all toxins, pathogenic bacteria and stains from your teeth, gums and dark cavities. The result is a cleaner, healthier mouth and whiter, brighter teeth. This is a win-win option.

  1. Clay

While all clays have a supernatural ability to be non-abrasive, one clay is superior to all of them: kaolin clay. Studies show that kaolin clay is an excellent polishing agent, meaning you can use it to simultaneously remove plaque and polish stubborn stains that insist on making your teeth look so painfully creamy.

You need to clean it with clay, just like soda: moisten a toothbrush, dip it in clay, carefully apply it to your front teeth. Then, when your saliva turns the clay into a soft paste, start rubbing.
